Hit Like A Girl adds Ludwig Drums as a 2017 Sponsor and announces a new alliance with Winterguard International. HLAG Marching Percussion Champion invited to perform at 2017 WGI World Championships.
Hit Like A Girl is proud to announce that Ludwig Drums has signed on as a new sponsor of the 2017 global contest for female drummers. Ludwig will be contributing drumsets as prizes for the winners of the under and over 18 divisions of the competition as well as a Ludwig Ultimate marching snare drum for the champion of the new HLAG Marching Percussion category.
“With top drummers like Sarah Tomek (Steven Tyler), Alicia Warrington (Kate Nash), Jordan West (independent) and others endorsing Ludwig drums— and so many female concert and marching drummers playing Ludwig, too— we wanted to show our support for this inspiring and growing segment of the drumming community,” explains Ludwig product and marketing manager, Adam Weems. “Participating in the Hit Like A Girl program was an obvious choice for us and an easy one, as well.” For more information about Ludwig Drums, visit www.ludwig-drums.com.
In a related development, Hit Like A Girl has announced an alliance with Winterguard International (WGI) that will create opportunities for both organizations to reach and potentially grow their participants. Under the terms of the joint agreement, HLAG and WGI will cross-promote to each other’s members through publicity and social media. WGI has additionally invited the 2017 Marching Percussion Champion to appear at the 2017 WGI Championship in Dayton, Ohio from April 20-22, 2017. With over 36,000 participants in North America, WGI is one of the world’s premier youth music organizations and the exclusive governing body for competitive indoor marching percussion.
