Qi Wei, 25, is one of China’s most popular and talented young drummers. She is the winner of the 2019 “Hit Like A Girl China” competition. She likes to play multiple styles of music, but her favorites are pop, rock and metal.
Qi Wei recently graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of Music and is a featured performer in “Our Band” on Jiangsu Satellite TV. In addition to participating in many music festivals and performances, this up-and-coming drummer is currently performing at “Direction Orchestra”. Her goal is to continue to develop her drumming skills as well as her career as a professional recording studio and touring musician.
Jason Coffey is a signed artist with Nine Beats, the world’s largest modern music education company, where he performs drum solos, teaches master classes and judges competitions year-round through an extensive network of music schools throughout China. In addition to his solo performances, he is actively working with famous Chinese artists, including China’s most famous Blues singer, Zhang Ling. You can find them performing at renowned venues such as the Blue Note Jazz Club and the Strawberry Music Festival. Jason is currently recording drums for Zhang Ling!s newest album which is set for release later this year. Jason is also a founding member of the band “Eluvia” who have just released their sophomore album, “No Ordinary Love”. Frank Perry is a drummer, educator and clinician. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Five Towns College, a Masters Degree from Stony Brook University and is a New York State certified music teacher. He has studied with Charlie Perry, Mike Sorrentino, Tommy Campbell, Mike Lauren and John Miceli and currently studies with Dom Famularo, Stephane Chamberland and Craig Blundell. Frank has played, performed and recorded drums for over 30 years as well as taught countless students. Over the last decade he has worked closely with Drumming’s Global Ambassador Dom Famularo to help him bring his passion for drumming to the world.
Born and raised in Montreal Canada, Ryan Stevenson is a self-taught drummer who started his career in metal/rock bands at the age of 15. Later on, he left his bands to start his own “one-man show” project called “The Ryan Stevenson Show”. This concept is based entirely around the drums, and its goal was to prove to all drummers out there that they as well can be the artist and be upfront in the spotlight while playing to all different styles of music.
Ryan is not just a drummer but also a showman/entertainer at heart. His one-man show opened doors for him to join numerous tours of all genres of music worldwide where the artist wished to add his unique touch to their live shows. Always wanting to do more, he then got the opportunity to adventure into the world of Drum Clinics making his first appearances in China in 2018. Ryan is currently on tour with a new project called “ATCK” featuring AJ from the Backstreet Boys, but still continues his solo project show, clinics and session work with other artists around the globe.

Lindsay Artkop is an Artist, Drummer, and Music Producer based in Los Angeles, California. Lindsay began playing drums at six years old, and has since graduated from Educational Center For The Arts High School and Berklee College of Music, with a BA in Professional Music. She won the 2015 International Hit Like a Girl Contest. She’s currently creating her debut EP of original Indie music, set to release in Summer 2021. She also plays drums with bands and artists in LA, including YouTuber Sam Tsui. Lindsay is a avid Music Educator, having performed clinics at PASIC, NYU, The Collective in NYC, 9 Beats China Clinic Tour, Taipei International Percussion Summer Camp (TIPSC), and many more. She also teaches drum lessons online and in person. She endorses Zildjian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks, and Evans Drumheads.
Peiying Li is one of the top drummers based in China. Her performance concept is novel and unique, which makes her the perfect pioneer representative of modern drumming.
Peiying started playing drums at age seven. She got her first Masters degree at Berklee Global Jazz Institute (Boston, U.S.A.) in 2016, and then got her second Masters degree at New England Conservatory (Boston, U.S.A.) in 2019. After graduating in America, she moved back to China, and became one of the most active drummers in China.
Over the years, she has performed throughout the United States and China. In 2015, she performed with Grammy Award-winning musician Gary Burton in the John F. Kennedy Center. In 2018, she performed with Grammy Award-winning musician Dave Holland. Peiying has attended various music festivals including 2013 “Spring of China” Music Festival, 2009 Idaho International Dance and Music Festival, 2013 Shanghai JZ Festival, 2015 Midi Music Festival, 2019 Sweetwater Gear Festival, 2019 Jinbao International Music Festival.
She has worked with a lot of great bands, such as MILK, Junshu &Co, Easterners, Chuchu &Friends, Las Muchachas, and so on. Besides performance, she has also composed and arranged a lot of music. In 2019, She released her first single “New Beginning” produced by LeShawn Harris.
She was one of the editorial board members of “2018 Shanghai Percussion Association New Edition Electric Drum-set Examination Course” and “2018 Shanghai Percussion Association New Edition Drum-set Examination Course”. She was one of the judeges of Shanghai Youth Percussion Competition from 2017 to 2019.
Peiying has gotten different awards over the world. She got the “Best Player” of 2012 China’s Modern Jazz Teaching Seminar Band Show, “Excellent Performance Award” in 2014 Shanghai Conservatory of Music Drum-set Contest, “Finalist” of 2018 “Hit Like A Girl” International Female Drummer Contest, “Special Award” of 2019 “Hit Like A Girl” International Female Drummer Contest.
Bingchen Han. Born in 1997. Nine beats elite dummer and percussionist. Member of the nine beats education researching group. Net-east musician. Study drum from Mr. Li (Founder of Nine beats education group) since 5 years ago. At the age 16, join the SABIAN Chinese artist group. Started to compose during middle school period and completed 20 songs still now. Was invited to join the International music exhibition and drummer festival in Shanghai and Beijing for years. And followed Mr. Li to made nine beats education presentation around China. In 2016 study in world music department in Codarts (Conservatory Rotterdam) Netherlands. In 2018 transfer to Conservatorium van Amsterdam to study Jazz percussion. (study by Lucas van merwijk) And join his world tour plan of percussion band “Drum United”. In the same time, also performed together with the Grammy winner Cory Henry (Keyboard of snarky puppy) and Metropole Orchestra.
Thomas Lang, took up drumming at the age of 5. In addition to lessons at local music schools and years of private tuition, he was classically trained at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. After leaving the conservatory in 1985, Lang began playing professionally, working his way through the European pop, rock and jazz scenes. After leaving Vienna for London/England in 1990, Thomas started working his way through the global music scene. As a session musician he played for artists such as Paul Gilbert (Racer X/Mr. Big) John Wetton (Asia/King Crimson), Robert Fripp, Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Peter Gabriel, Asia, Nik Kershaw, Tina Turner, Robbie Williams, Kelly Clarkson and many more.
Lang’s original practice-regime eventually became the basis for his 2-part series of instructional videos, Ultimatives Schlagzeug Part I and II, which were originally released in 1995. These videos were re-released in 2004 by Hudson Music. Over the years, Lang released additional instructional DVDs and books, including Creative Control and Creative Coordination And Advanced Foot Techniques— the latter based around multi-pedal orchestrations and advanced foot technique.
In 1995, Lang also released his debut solo project, Mediator, which topped the charts in Europe and garnered positive reviews. He has since released multiple solo albums and collaborations including his most recent release, Robo Sapiens.
