My name is Ximena Rivas and I currently go to Berklee College of Music. I am studying Electronic Production and Design and aspire to audition for the Electronic Digital Instrument as my principal instrument. I began with music by borrowing my dad's guitar and learning songs on Ultimate-Guitar. I then began practicing on bass guitar and drums and yearned to learn more so I joined my high school's marching. I played marimba for my high school for two years and then joined a World Class Independent Percussion ensemble from South Florida known as STRYKE Percussion. I played mallet percussion for them for 3 years and during those three years I went to New World School of the Arts to major in Music Composition and then transferred to Florida Atlantic University to major in Commercial Music. My first experience with producing music on a DAW was with Reason at New World School of the Arts. I gained more experience when I transferred over to FAU and started producing in Logic. Now at Berklee College of Music I'm learning more and more about mixing and producing my own music on so many different mediums and I look forward to more growth.
