I really liked your video with the smooth, jazzy big band sound. I can envision people on a dance floor.
I super liked this. I hope to move more into jazz in the coming years. You really did a great job on this and help make all us girls sound wonderful. I see guitars in the background, do you play? I am learning bass guitar now and really loving it. Good luck to you.
bravo, you are an inspiring drums style. thanks a lot ( i love versatility of styles in drums, to learn from these ). send you super drums vibes from France, Europe, and go on of course !
Nice groove there! Spot on. I love your DW kit! Good luck to you!
Patricia, It’s Diane Hirakawa again. I hope you will be able to see my comment! In my 30 yrs. experience opinion, I think you should win our entire 40+ age group. It’s too bad you didn’t acrue enough votes to move on the the judges part of this contest because you definitely have musicianship over everyone else. And Jazz!!! My 10 yr. long British instructor helped me with jazz for a few months before I entered “Stang’s Swang” by Stevie Ray Vaughan. I got through it but not even with the ease, flow, and expertise that you shared here in your video. As a matter of fact, when my instructor opens the studio for lessons again (closed so far for 13 months here in San Diego), I am going to pursue jazz from being motivated by you. Last night, May 1, I was just 1 vote out of 10th to move on to the judging section. I so want experienced judges to comment and give feedback on my rock tun by RUSH. And, alone I created my video with notes to the videographer on windows, close-ups, and overhead shots, shortened it in half from the original, added 5 sections ofmy own from the original, and taught myself off Neil Peart’s original drum mustical notation. All together 4 months worth of work. So keep on playing and maybe someone will validate our music in the future. No matter really, as both my adult sons are proud of me and me too. I hope you are proud of your musicianship too! Diane
