Hi, I’m Niri.
About 4 years ago, I bought myself a 39th birthday present – a drum lesson, without any intention for something serious to happen, with no experience, and with lots of self-humor.
That evening I got back home and wrote the following Instagram post:
"I think I found my true love. My life will never be the same”.
I got carried away to this thing so fast. Within seconds on the drum set, I knew this thing is stronger than me.
It felt like something has just been there for years, waiting to burst out.
In the beginning, I was afraid people would think I've gone crazy, or that I was going into a midlife crisis or something, I was embarrassed to talk about it, but from day to day, it was clear to me that this is what I have to do now and just like that – from the moment I discovered the drums, I didn’t want to do anything else with my life.
Drumming for me is like something that comes out naturally, and it fills me with such joy, that cannot always be explained in words.
I play mostly rock music, and I get inspired by anyone who holds a drum stick in their hands.
Every drummer is an inspiration for me, and I enjoy following drummers from all over the world and read their life stories and the way they’ve made from the moment they began to drum. I enjoy finding the personal touch and style each one of them brings.
My ultimate dream is to play on stage, or with artists, to record with musicians, and basically to continue challenging myself and enjoy every moment.
