Londa Gammell

Hello,

This is my 4th year as a Hit Like A Girl Contestant! I have been playing drums since I was 8 years old and I had an old First Act kit which I hated because it sounded terrible. One of my biggest influences is my Uncle Jr. who passed away a year before I was born, he loved playing bluegrass gospel/country/church music guitar/drums/sing/banjo and he could play anything solely by ear which is a hidden talent of mine that I am an ear learner rather than if you throw a piece of music in front of me it would take days for me to learn it but with being ear player it is fun to do it that way because you have more freedom with playing than what is written in stone. So I have been playing for him for years as a musician.
I was half professional taught and self taught under Ryun Louie from Wadsworth and Medina H.S. bands percussion and Jason Raffle from Chippewa H.S. band on drum set. I also worked side by side in Pana Percussion with Ryun Louie and Alex Stopa receiving a certificate from Pana Percussion Institute being professionally trained on drumset and marching percussion. Between 2010-2014 I was a Wadsworth cymbal line section leader/player.
I am recently in college right now about to graduate in May so I decided to run for my 4th time and hopefully I get something this year at least again.

I proudly own a 2013 LC175 Ludwig Accent Drive Series in Wine Red with Behringer Audio Interface hooked up to the kit and to an HP laptop and my video editing software is with NCH software and Windows Movie Maker. This is my drum studio I have recorded in.
