My name is Juanita Peláez, a music producer from Medellín (Colombia).
Producing has been a journey of constant discovery and experimentation. I could not call it any other way.
One of the most beautiful aspects about creating music is to set my emotions and feelings in every piece I produce.
It's very fulfilling to me to see a job completely done and to feel that it is the reflection of what I live inside my family, my city and my country.
Colombian rhythms have inspired me, that is why in this track I wanted to highlight one of the North Pacific area's rhythm that is called "Tamborito" or "Porro Chocoano". In this region of my country, African-American sounds flavours the music there, and it is filled with emotions, movement and colour.
I wanted to include the native instruments from the region: tambora, platillos and redoblante, in order to create a fusion which recreates their ancestral beauty.
My music tells stories, and in this case, I am doing a narrative about a paradise in which the most important thing is to move and dance.
