Hi! I am a self taught drummer from the Philippines. I didn’t have any formal education in music. I have always loved listening to music (and eventually play the drums) regardless of genre and, of course, according to my capacity. πŸ˜‚

I was inspired to play drums by friends who were into music and played in local bands in my town. Before, I don’t have a kit of my own, so the opportunity of practicing the kit was by the time we hit the studio. Often times, I would practice using a pillow as a pad. πŸ˜‚ After sometime, I was already in a band, playing in gigs.

Well, I considered it as just a hobby. Since I have a slim chance of acquiring formal music education. (But, I am always dreaming of being able to have one. πŸ˜„) I was also busy in the academe and I am pursuing a different course, I had little time playing the drums. It was an on and off relationship for me and the drums. πŸ˜‚

I stopped playing for about two years, due to school and academic requirements, (plus the fact that some of my bandmates were also busy living their lives) πŸ˜‚.

Aaannnnd, 2017 came, I bought a drumkit. Well, my mother did. πŸ˜‚ it was an acoustic drumkit. Guess what? I was not able to play it regularly even though I already have a kit. Due to many reasons (which I think I don’t really have to explainβ€”β€” the noise). Lol.

By 2018, I really have to have an electric drum set because I really missed playing the drums. And a part of me thinks that I am not improving at all. πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ So I had one! This is what you see in the video. πŸ˜‚ I will not tell you who bought it for me though. Mother of pearl. Hahahaha

In my free time, I do Anime OST drum covers, or songs according to my liking. πŸ˜‚ but I like all. It’s obvious. πŸ˜‚

Thank you for reading my bio. Anyway, this is my first time joining this event. 🧑 Playing the drums is fun. My wish, if not to be the best( I am not Ash Ketchum) πŸ˜‚, is to be able to play the songs that I love. And there are soooo many of them songs that I would really like to play. Keep the passion alive!πŸ˜„
