Hello, my name is En-Chia Hsu, I come from Taiwan, next month I will be nine years old. I belong to the aboriginal tribe of Paiwan, the place which I live near beautiful mountains and river, my father often teaches us how to live in the forest. My mother said I was very lively when she was pregnant. I think that why I love playing drums. And my father said when I was one years old I played his belly like drums. I started to learn drum since I was six years old, my drum teacher is Jimbo Wei. My parents always courage me to accept the challenge. This drum solo was composed by me and my drum teacher. When I played this tune, I imaged that there is a hunter chasing prey in the forest, he walked along faster and faster, then he felt tired so he walked slowly and slowly. On that moment he saw the prey, he hid himself to follow the sound and chase it quietly. Chased for a while, he heard the boar’s sound then he saw the hole it dug and the footprints. Then he stared to run following the steps to search it careful. Finally, he put a bullet, made sure the position where it stopped, then shoot the boar successfully. He brought the prey to home, shared it to everyone joyfully. That hunter who is full of wisdom to protect and love the nature is my father. This is my sharing, hope you enjoy it.
