A greater Houston native, now in San Antonio, TX, Cristina Hinojosa comes from a bloodline of the late Juan Hinojosa, drummer from Los Fabulosos 4. After graduating high school with several music honors, Cristina went on to study music and drumset/percussion in college, where she learned classical and jazz improvisational theory. Cristina enjoys listening to pop/rock music, jazz, and Latin American music and is highly influenced by the innovative Chicano/orquestra era, the early 90s era, and the new sounds of today. In 2013, Cristina was a finalist in the international Hit Like a Girl female drumming competition. Cristina has been honored to share the stage and record with acts such as: Grupo Excito, Juan Guerreo y Los Sheekanos, Braulio y Fuzzion, Mike Torres III & The Grooveland Chicano Band, Tortilla Factory, Avizo, David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, Cacy Savala, Far From Your Eyes, LA 45, and has been touring with Stefani Montiel for the past 6 years, recently recording drums on multiple albums in the Tejano industry. Cristina enjoys being on the road with her musical family, and hanging out with her family and cats in her down time.
