I've been playing drum for 13 years. I inherited a 10 piece custom DW kit from my fiancé who passed away over 5 years ago. He taught me how to play and had me on stage in 6 months! I love playing and performing. After he passed I was devastated and couldn't sleep. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with MS so between the MS and me grieving I lost my motivation to play. Finally I attended Drum Fantasy Camp and was introduced to many famous drummers getting the chance to study with them. The camp is really fun. I credit Todd Sucherman with helping me get my mojo back. Between attending the camp and taking his Drumeo lessons I'm back playing happily again. I've studied through the camp with Todd Sucherman, Steve Smith, Billy Cobham, Chad Wackerman, Denis Chambers and Sput Searright. I highly recommend you attend if you can. I am a member (and on the leadership team) for the Facebook page, Drummergirls United. I also was in a female drum documentary that was on Amazon Prime Video called "Beatkeepers, Women with Rhythm". I am a member of Can-Do Musica that is dedicated to drummers with disabilities (in my case MS). I am a member of Drumeo which is very motivating for ALL drummers. I am currently involved in preparing for a band that will have two drummers. Due to Covid-19 we are waiting to rehearse together. I'm really looking forward to playing with this band and if all goes well gigging out. So that's my story. Thanks for reading and happy drumming ladies!
