Britney “Peaches” Henderson is a freelance audio engineer based in the North Georgia/Metro Atlanta Area.
She took her first drum lesson in August 2019, then procrastinated for months before finally committing to weekly Drum Lessons with Greg “Stix” Washington in July 2020 to ease her quarantine cabin fever.
Having zero drum experience prior to July 2020, this Hit Like A Girl Submission is truly the work of an amateur adult who simply persevered, practiced, and developed a love for percussion drum set!
She is a graduate of both Spelman College and SAE Institute in Atlanta, GA. At the tender age of 3, she learned to play piano and read music before she could even read a book! At the age of 9, she added the French horn to her skillset. Her musical adeptness came naturally throughout her high school/college matriculation. Her perseverance landed her opportunities to play alongside the Jackson, TN, Symphony Orchestra; the Chicago Symphony; the New York Philharmonic; as well as the Pit Orchestra for the Broadway Musical: Wicked. She also learned to play the Mellophone in the Morehouse College House of Funk Marching Band. Her vast musical background blended with her love of new technology gives her an ability to adapt in any recording studio setting. She embarked on her journey to become a professional audio engineer in December 2015 and prides herself in being mentored by some of the best in the industry!
