Anna Layza began her music studies in March 2009, at the Municipal Musical Education Center of Hortolândia, enrolled in the Drum and Percussion course. In early 2011 she joined the Hortolândia Young Blow Orchestra, the Turuntuntum Percussion Group and the Campana para Fora Metals Group, where she performed until February 2013.
In 2012 she joined UNICAMP University, in the course of Bachelor's Degree in Percussion, with Dr. Fernando Hashimoto as teacher, and at GRUPU (Unicamp's Percussion Group), one of the most active collective of percussion in the country. GRUPU's percussion group presented in several cities of the state of São Paulo, Bahia, Minas Gerais and Brasília.
She has participated in several Festivals, Congresses and Events, such as: Carlos Gomes International Festival; International Encounter of Percussion of Unicamp; Orchestra of the Opera Festival FIO Americas (July 2013); VI, VII and VIII Meeting of Music Education of UNICAMP (2013/2014/2015); IX Seminar of Choral Conducting Dr. PIEPER - UNICAMP, acting as percussionist, under the regency of Hans-Peter Schurz; of the VIII Holiday Course Coreto Paulista as teacher the percussionist Eduardo Gianesella (OSESP), participating in the Percussion group of the course and the Symphonic Band, ruled by Markus Mauderer (Germany); Santa Catarina Music Festival (FEMUSC); VI Percussion Festival 2 de Julho (Bahia, Salvador); Young Concertante Academy (Stage São Paulo), under the direction of Daniel Guedes; III and IV Brazilian Contemporary Music Festival; I Brazilian Percussion Congress, the XXVII Anppom Congress and the VII Music Festival in Trancoso (Bahia).
As a soloist, she performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Valinhos, the Orchestra of the Music Department of UNICAMP and the Symphonic Orchestra of Unicamp, winning the Young Musicians Competition OSU / IA 2017 in the solo category. She was a finalist for the 2017 Prelude Program at Tv Cultura, where she received an invitation to a solo concert in the Cecília Meireles room in Rio de Janeiro, and was among the finalists of Hit Like a Girl Contest 2016.
Participated in Workshops and Masterclasses with Ney Rosauro, Clarissa Severo de Borba (Le Mans Conservatory - France), Fernanda Vieira (Campinas Symphony Orchestra), Helvio Mendes (UNESP), Rodolfo Villagio (Campinas Symphonic Orchestra), Augusto Moralez , Conservatoire de Strasbourg - France) Fernando Barba (Barbatuques Group), Cesar Traldi (UFU), Fernando Chaib (IFG), Takayoshi Yoshioka (Japan), Reiko Shiohama (Japan), Gilmar Goulart (University of Santa Maria), Fernando Rocha, Mark Braafhart (Royal Orchestra of Concertgebouw), Dan Moshayev (Major Timpanist of the Israel Philharmonic), Rusty Burge (University of Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music), Emmanuel Séjourne (Conservatoire de Strasbourg - France) , Ruben Zuniga (OSESP) and Miquel Bernat (Spain).
Anna Layza acted as percussionist of the show Viva L'Italia, performing in the cities of Campinas, Jundiaí, Valinhos, Mogi Guaçu and Salto.
She is the principal percussionist of the Valinhos Philharmonic Orchestra (since 2014), and frequently performs in the annual seasons of the Municipal Symphonic Orchestra of Campinas (since 2014) and of the Unicamp Symphony Orchestra (since 2013). She was currently selected for the 2018 season of the Brazilian Mozarteum Academic Orchestra, with which she participated in the seventh edition of the Music Festival in Trancoso.
She is a student of the Master's Degree in Music at UNICAMP, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Fernando Hashimoto, and research on the historical and interpretive context of Marimba in Brazil.
