Hi everyone! My name is Zeynep but everyone calls me Zuzu. I am 10 years old and have been playing drums for 3 years. This is my second year in HLAG Contest. I think HLAG is a very important organization to show people that girls can play drums too. People get shocked when they first see me playing drums. Even in school, I am the only girl who is interested in drums but I believe I can change this. My music teachers support me for this. We invite younger students to my little shows at school and I make small talks in classrooms to inform younger students about drums and being a drummer. I like playing drums and being on stage. My drums teacher organizes public workshops in Denizli (small city I live in Turkey) and I realized that I like playing before the audience. That’s why I record my medley this year on a performance hall before a small group of audience. I hope you enjoy it!
