Hey, I’m Tabitha. I’ve been drumming since I was thirteen. This is a video of me playing a jazz fusion piece called ‘Legend of Lumbar’ originally by the band Lydian Collective but covered by my band Jigsaw Jungle. I’m also a drum teacher and am very proud that several of my students have also entered the competition this year. As a female drum teacher, I want to encourage and inspire girls to play drums, and give my male students a reason to say “yeah, of course girls can play drums. My drum teacher was a girl!” My students and I, we can Hit Like a Girl. We are here to make a lot of noise. We are here to make an impact!
