Originally from Liverpool in UK, I moved to Ireland in 2006 with my family. I later went to college to study music, and progressed to third level where my musicianship developed further allowing me to branch out trying new genres and styles that I hadn’t tried before. I’ve played with a number of ensembles and groups over the years but my first band was with my siblings (less von-trapp and more like The Corrs) in which we developed a love for writing and playing a number of styles – we still get together for a jam every now and then!
I currently play with Cavan Big Band (big Band jazz/swing) and an original rock band called Face of the Earth. I’m also the drummer for a newly formed band called False Slag who have written original music for a touring cabaret show based on a recently released Irish book. I draw on influences from the likes of Chad Smith, Taylor Hawkins, Ben Thatcher and many more.
