My name is Seraphina Evelyn Hicks,(She, Her) I have been playing the drums for 33 years. my video is a demonstration of improve drum soloing. I am a transgender woman and a multi-instrumentalist currently working on a solo release in the metal genre for Fall 2023, My project is called Seraphina’s Eve and is a concept metal project focused around intellectual ideas, questioning societies humanitarian standards and equality for all. I will be donating a portion of the proceeds to help LGBTQAI+ youth gain the equality I never knew. I also would like to support music programs for youth. I been through a lot in my transition and wasn’t sure if I would return to drumming as my true self… but now that I have made many milestones, I have decided to put myself back out there as a Transgender female artist. My influences are many and all genre of music… from Jazz to new wave, goth, metal, thrash. Some of my favorite drummers are, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Billy Cobham, Steve Gadd, John Bonham, keith Moon, Neil Peart, Lars Ulrich, Dave Lambardo, Vinnie Paul, Paul Bostaph, Thomas Lang, Danny Carey, Mike Mangini, Mike Portnoy, and many others.
