Hey! My name is Natasha Laurent and I am a fifteen year old girl from México City. I am excited for this contest since I have been playing drums for two years and I had the opportunity to enter last year. A little bit before the pandemic hit, me and my friends said as a joke that we should start a band. We chose the instrument that we liked the most and started learning. We were forced to isolate a little after that, and even though it was difficult it gave us the time we needed to practice. I started taking lessons online and it began to influence the way I listen to music. We have been playing covers of our favorite bands ever since. For me playing the drums gives you a new perspective about the songs and what they are trying to express, as well as it gives me a way to express myself and make other people listen to the songs as I do. Since I was little, I have loved listening to music, every time I can I will play my favorite songs. One of the genres that has influenced me the most is rock and that is one of the reasons why I choose this classic song. I am excited for this contest and wish everybody good luck.
